Howard F. Haugh

howard Howard F. HaughHoward received his undergraduate education at the College of St. Thomas, and obtained his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1966. After graduation, he entered the Navy, becoming a certified trial and defense counsel for General Courts Martial. While on active duty in the Far East, he was an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the University of Maryland, Far East Division (Japan). He is a retired Lt. Commander, Judge Advocate General Corps, U.S. Naval Reserve.

Upon return to Minnesota, Howard entered private practice with the McLean Peterson Law Firm, serving as firm president from 1990-1997, when the firm merged into the Farrish Johnson firm.

While at McLean Peterson, he served as the Chief Public Defender for Blue Earth County from 1979 to 1992. His areas of practice now include all aspects of business formation, acquisitions and mergers, as well as banking, real estate, and construction law. Howard is an adjunct at Minnesota State University, Mankato in the Department of Accounting and Business Law, where he teaches Construction Law.

Howard and his wife, Nicole, enjoy world-wide travel, are active in the community, and have been involved with numerous service organizations serving individuals in need.
