Scott V. Kelly
Scott’s interest in the practice of law began in his early college years. While attending college Scott worked for the Farrish Johnson Law Office investigating claims, preparing cases for trial, and assisting at trial. Observing respected trial lawyers in action provided Scott with an excellent learning opportunity. Scott has extensive experience in complex litigation matters ranging from personal injury actions, wrongful death claims, construction litigation, electrical accidents, and business litigation. Scott has obtained three million-dollar verdicts on behalf of his clients.
Scott is Board Certified nationally and by the State of Minnesota as a trial lawyer. Less then 3% of lawyers nationally have achieved this certification. He was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to the General Rules of Practice Committee, and appointed by the Minnesota Certified Trial Lawyers Association to the Judicial Selection Committee. He is AV rated by Martindale and Hubbell, and has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine since 2000, a distinction received by less then 5% of Minnesota lawyers.
Scott is particularly interested in personal injury claims, electrical accidents, and construction litigation. Scott is also frequently hired by attorneys to mediate or arbitrate legal matters.
Scott is active in the Mankato community, serving on numerous boards. He and his wife, Jeanne, have four children and live in Mankato.
